Veganism - Here to Stay

ArticlesVeganism If you do your own grocery shopping, you’ve probably seen a major change in shelf labels. More and more labels are about offering the vegan option. Which is a great thing for the world. Since we all know - or should know, in these enlightened times - what a wasteful and detrimental life man has been living as a carnivore considering what it does to the Earth. If  it takes 50 000 liters of water to create a couple of pounds of meat to sell, that’s just plain wrong, isn’t it? Considering that we will most probably be facing water shortage all over the world, not just in the developing countries. Just for that reason alone it is wise to skip that meat on your plate - forget the taste buds for a while - and commit to decreasing your own carbon footprint.

It is not just about being health-conscious anymore, or caring about the lives and welfare of the animals. It is about caring about what happens to our home, the Earth. Vegans have a variety of reasons to skip animal-based products, and any of those reasons are sound. But you only need one. One sound reason to start decreasing that footprint of yours. You’ll never get that to zero, but we can all do our bit to make this a better world for us and our descendants to live in. Imagining anything else is a fallacy.

These days there are so many good vegan recepies out there. All you need is time - which you would need for any cooking of course. Here is one good site - among many - to inspire you in the kitchen: deliveryrank.com. It is easier than ever to live the vegan way! What do you think about being or going vegan?
