Welcome to Journeys of Life!

Hi you there! This site is for all of you who are interested in people, in history and perhaps your own family history as well. Here we celebrate the human endeavor, the achievements of the human mind and effort, and also the lives of anyone of general interest.

The purpose of this site is to be an educational experience from the historical standpoint since we aim to give historical background to each year we present here. With that in mind, you are free to add your forefathers and -mothers to this site. Just email us their data, and it will be incorporated in Journeys of Life. Once you have their names in place, you can browse through “their” pages and read what was happening in the world when they were born. And the same goes for you as well.

The Year Files are the basis and the bulk of Journeys of Life, but not all of it by a long chalk. The idea is to offer you plenty of interesting material to read, all based on people - their uniqueness, experiences, life stories and what not. The site logo is from the film “It’s a Wonderful Life” which contains so much of everything that we have to face in life, and still can call it wonderful. So here’s to us, and life!
