Streets & Squares - one of our regular article series here in Journeys of Life - is published every 20th of a month. So far it has been 44 times! We’ve written - from our own particular perspective - about cities around the globe, and more will follow. Every 20th of a month!
Now, we will be adding - to the already existing articles and all the following ones - something that might interest some of you: namely the flag, the coat of arms or the logo of the city in question. When you visit cities, you very often see not only the country flag but also the flag of the city hanging on the pole. That is very typical in central Europe, and also elsewhere. You see the city emblem in many public buildings and offices too. And the emblems can be seen by the side of the roads as well, telling you which city you are entering.
Here are a few flags to start with! Guess which European city these are from:
A city in Netherlands
A city in Italy
A city in France
PS. As a patron of Journeys of Life, you may suggest Streets & Squares of your own. Send your request in the patron page, and you will see your “Streets of X” in a month or two! Please bear in mind though that the U.S. city publication months are January, May and September.
