Journeys of Life has been around for quite a while now. Our aim has always been to have stories of interest accompanied by cool or telling images tied to the theme. The bulk of the site are the year files though. For this is a site specifically geared for genealogists, and others interested in either personal or public history. Then there are all the article series, many of which have an article appearing on a certain fixed date.

A lot of time goes of course to investigate the possible background material before writing the articles, and with the Streets & Squares for example we sometimes employ the assistance of the town hall or a museum of the city in question. Language Day each 29th of a month connects with this interests on travel and different cultures and languages, which is probably shared by many of you readers. The world of sports, arts, music and science are also something we want to concentrate on.

Not long ago we joined Twitter. Now is yet another time to expand, and to join the world of patroen.com. In order to keep up with the growing demands of the blog. Which is not a blog in the personal sense of the word - even though on rare occasions we do share something personal - but just another website trying to survive - and thrive. There are no ads in Journeys of Life for a reason. We want to keep the outward appearance of the site neat and simple, and for that same reason the apparent lack of links remains a conscious choice.
