We head in Streets & Squares this time to Tokyo, the capital of Japan. A very challenging place to do what we have done so far with other cities around the world! Partly because of the language of course, but also because it is hard to find the streets signs on the corners, or street names à la Google on the streets!
Still, the challenge is accepted, and as always in Streets & Squares, clicking on the address links leads you to Google Maps, and clicking on the names to the person’s Wikipedia page.

It did that for almost 300 years until Stockholm took over as the number one city in Sweden. These days it is a nice place to visit for both domestic and foreign tourists with its long history and idyllic sites.

Danzig is the former German name of Gdansk. There is an interesting list of German streets names correlating with their Polish version in Your Pocket.
The Polish language is known for its rich consonants and a lack of vowels, so be prepared to tackle some pretty difficult words and names in this article.

And along with the eponymous streets, there may be parks, bridges and other noteworthy public places. The address links lead to Google Maps, and the links of people to their Wikipedia pages, if such exist.
